Anyways, when one is presented with free tickets to a new experience, one goes. (Providing that new experience does not have the words "monster jam" in the title.) It was tickets to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, a child's show. It promised a circus-themed act, and adaptations of other kid-friendly stories. Erika was very excited at the prospect of going to a "concert", especially when told we were also taking her best friend and her best friend's mom with us. I don't think she quite knew what she was getting into. :) She liked the large concert hall, and the musicians tuning up their instruments:
She really liked the idea of her own plush seat! She anxiously awaited the beginning of the show.
The show would have gone a whole lot better if a very tall man hadn't sat almost directly in front of my little one, obscuring her view. She wouldn't trade seats with me, as she wanted to stay beside her friend, so alternated between my lap and back into her view-hampered seat. That being said, she enjoyed the music and acts that performed. More so, she REALLY enjoyed joining in on the applause between acts. This goes to prove the more that kids can participate, the happier they are! :) It was fun. I'd do it again, probably in a couple of years.
