The spa and vacuuming out a bathtub...

Today was a half-day for indulgence.  My sister and I love Ten Spa, the ultimate in relaxation and a place just to be all about you.  We booked a treatment there for today, and as usual, the place did not disappoint.  The steam room was enjoyed, and "rainforest" shower I wish I could have fit in my bag to take home!  :)  It was great. I booked a pedicure treatment, and my feet are still thanking me.

Whilst I was pampered, Rick was hard at work on our bathroom- the real "meat and potatoes" part of the renos.  He replaced damaged ceiling drywall, scraped off stipple, filled in the cracks and seams, took off the old banged-up 2nd door, and finished sealing everything in the attic crawlspace (of which he vows never to enter again). He did a great job.  I was once again skilled at the clean-up after, vacuuming out the tub of fallen stipple, chasing bats of loose insulation the followed Ricky down the ladder, and general dust collection. Next steps include removal of the old fixtures, taking down the old mirror, peeling a bit of wallpaper, and painting.  Not bad, right?  |:p
Here are are some before pics:
Damaged ceiling, due to a leaky bathroom fan.  Rick's already replaced the fan here, but the ceiling needs to be repaired and the light replaced.
Damaged 2nd door of the bathroom.  Unnecessary, really, so we're removing it and making the doorway more of an archway instead- going to be painting it white.
The mirror we're replacing.  Eventually we'll be doing something with the counter top, but not at this point.  :)

The old fixture and the peeling wallpaper behind the 1st door to the bathroom.  Ick. Gone soon, hopefully!

Ahhh, renos.
